To file a Wear-Dated® warranty claim, forward a legible sales slip that includes the retailer name and address, date of purchase, carpet manufacturer, style identification, a brief description of the problem, and at least 10-12 tufts of fiber from the affected areas and a like number from an unaffected area or an unused remnant for comparison to address below. If the carpet is a 100% loop carpet, provide a remnant only - do not remove tufts from carpet itself.
NOTE: If your carpet was installed on or after 01/01/2005, and your carpet has been installed at least 2 years, you will need to provide proof of professional cleaning and professional reapplication of fluorocarbon. See Warranty & Care for details.
NOTE: Many carpet manufacturers now require that you use IICRC certified cleaning technicians and CRI approved equipment and spot cleaners. Please be sure to check; otherwise, you may risk voiding your carpet manufacturer warranty. The CRI has also issued a Fact Sheet on The Facts about Carpet Cleaning and Maintenance.
