KENNESAW, Ga.—Wear-Dated is proud to announce the introduction of two new Wear-Dated styles from Fabrica: Shandur and Nibbana. Produced with 100 percent premium branded Wear-Dated BCF nylon 6,6, the two products complement one another via a shared color line.

"The striations along with the complex neutral colorways are on the leading edge of what we're seeing in color and design trends for next year and beyond," said Marianne Cone, director of marketing for Solutia. "Fabrica uses sophisticated tufting, dyeing and finishing technology to create some of the most beautiful products we've seen in the market."

The name "Shandur" means "halfway to heaven" and refers to the Shandur Pass in the rugged Himalayas. The region is known for hand-knotted rugs made on rustic looms with colors that vary in intensity. These rugs are known for variations in color that create striations and linearity.

Fabrica's Shandur is inspired by the textile heritage of this region. This textured loop pattern reflects the terrain and elevation of the mountains with a 'hand spun", tone-on-tone, slightly multicolor effect, and the 12 natural colorations reflect the geographic region. The end result is a subtle sophisticated look that will perform exceptionally well in moderate to high traffic areas in residential applications.

The name "Nibbana" is inspired by the divine state of eternal happiness and highest bliss. Fabrica's Nibbana complements Shandur in inspiration and in tone via the same colorways, but is random sheared, providing a higher level of softness, texture, appearance and sophistication. In addition to the striated effect and subtle shading of Shandur, Nibbana's random shearing adds another dimension by providing cut pile and softness of hand with pile flow and silkiness. Furthermore, the precision shearing creates contrasting textures of cut pile and loop pile mixed with pattern.
