Wear-Dated® Debuts New Styles, Opportunities at Surfaces 2008
Retailers, dealers offered rebates, incentives and a new communication tool

KENNESAW, Ga.--Jan. 25, 2008--From Wednesday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, the flooring industry converges on the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas for Surfaces. Representatives from Wear-Dated® carpet fiber are available at booth #4054 to showcase Wear-Dated mill partner products, as well as Wear-Dated’s award-winning By the Foot marketing campaign. Additionally, Wear-Dated offers a variety of opportunities for Surfaces visitors and dealers.

PRODUCTS - For the first time at the Wear-Dated booth, Wear-Dated will debut the newest Wear-Dated styles from Karastan. In addition, visitors can view a variety of featured product samples, including the new Gulistan Advantage display with 14 Wear-Dated products, two Wunda Weve displays, and a significant number of Wear-Dated Natural Nylon products from Mohawk. For dealers, Wear-Dated will offer sample and roll rebates, Tuftex Super Chic rebates, and the new Gulistan Advantage Collection display rebate.

INCENTIVES - At Surfaces, Wear-Dated will announce the continuation of its successful retail sales incentive program, Rewards for Life, and its Co-Op Advertising and Marketing Funding Program. The 2008 Rewards for Life incentive program runs Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2008, and offers carpet retail salespeople a wide range of reward options. The 2008 Wear-Dated Co-Op Program benefits high-volume dealers who reach Master Dealer and Elite Dealer status and makes a variety of marketing materials available to them.

SEMINARS - Christine Whittemore, Wear-Dated’s director of in-store innovation, will present “What Your Tape Register Doesn’t Tell You” on Friday morning at 8 a.m. Whittemore, the author of Flooring the Consumer, a marketing blog, recognizes the importance of creating an engaging and positive retail experience for the carpet consumer, thus increasing business and profit for retailers.

COMMUNICATION – Wear-Dated is proud to debut its latest communication tool, the Carpetology Blog, found on the web at www.carpetology.blogspot.com. A Web log written by five women associated with Wear-Dated carpet fiber, the Carpetology Blog offers a light-hearted, consumer-oriented approach to carpet. It provides a resource for consumers on carpet care and maintenance, and a good tool for retailers to offer to consumers.
