Wear-Dated® Celebrates National Karastan Month
Retail Salespeople Earn Double Points
KENNESAW Ga., Oct. 3, 2007—From Sept. 22 through Nov. 5, 2007, Wear-Dated® carpet fiber celebrates National Karastan month. Events and seminars will be held in a variety of cities around the country, during which Karastan carpet dealers will offer consumers the lowest prices of the season on Karastan carpet and rugs. Furthermore, Karastan will offer double points for selling Wear-Dated carpet fiber products to those retail salespeople enrolled in the Karastan Imagination rewards program.
Some of the retail events taking place around the country in honor of National Karastan Month include:
-In Los Angeles, eight flooring retailers will advertise in the Los Angeles Times promoting Karastan Wear-Dated products and offering customers extra price incentives throughout the month of October.
-Macy’s will promote Karastan Wear-Dated products in the Chicago Tribune, the Minneapolis Star and the St. Paul Pioneer Press featuring 50 percent-off advertisements.
-Participating flooring retailers across the Southeast promoting Wear-Dated Karastan carpet include Issis & Sons in Birmingham, Ala., Hall's Flooring in Charlotte, NC, Miami Carpet & Tile in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.,
-In the Detroit, Mich. area, nine Karastan dealers will join forces to advertise Wear-Dated Karastan products in a combined TV and print advertising campaign.
-Tempe Decorating Center (TDC) Interiors, in the greater Phoenix, Ariz., area, will promote Wear-Dated Karastan carpet throughout its five locations in its Fall Flooring Event.
-In select markets and stores across the country, retail sales representatives may earn up to $.50/yard in additional incentives for selling Karastan carpet made with Wear-Dated carpet fiber.
Other events include the next two “Decorating From The Floor Up” events hosted by Thom Filicia and sponsored by Karastan and Wear-Dated. Scheduled for Phoenix on Oct. 6 and Seattle on Oct. 12, these live, interactive workshops show consumers that carpet can be just as modern, attractive and aesthetically appealing as alternative floorings.
“A rug or carpet is the ideal starting point to bring an entire room together,” says Filicia, who is best known for his role as interior design specialist on the Bravo network’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and the Style network’s Dress My Nest.
