Wear-Dated® and Mohawk Take Retail Sales Incentive to a Brand New Level
Leading carpet industry brands support each other for greater retail sales incentive rewards
KENNESAW, Ga.--Feb. 6, 2007--The strategic branding initiative between Mohawk, 3M Scotchgard and Wear-Dated® has led to an industry first - the 2007 alignment between the Mohawk, Wear-Dated and Karastan retail sales incentive programs. This alignment offers retail salespeople an added incentive to sell heavier-weight carpet made with Wear-Dated carpet fiber.
For the first time ever, retail salespeople may combine their point balances to earn bigger and better rewards even faster. Those enrolled in the Wear-Dated Rewards for Life program, upon point redemption, may combine the point balances from either their Mohawk Rewards Plus account or their Karastan Imagination account with their balance from Wear-Dated Rewards for Life. “Imagine, a retail salesperson who before might only have earned enough points for a plasma screen TV in either of two programs, can now strive for that first-class European vacation for two,” says Ben Jones, manager, Wear-Dated, programs, “That is a powerful motivator!”
The 2007 Wear-Dated Rewards for Life incentive program will run April 1-Dec. 21, 2007, offering a wide variety of incentives for retail carpet sales people. Reward Points are earned with each sale, and may be redeemed for name-brand merchandise, retail debit cards, and travel and cruise packages. Participants even have the option to convert Reward Points to cash by exercising the “cash out” option. In the 2007 program, participants will earn Rewards Points for every valid square yard of Wear-Dated carpet fiber sold and claimed. All products made from Wear-Dated carpet fiber are eligible.
For example:
-1 square yard of carpet weighing less than or equal to 35 ounces = 10 points
-1 square yard of carpet weighing greater than 36 ounces = 20 points
The Mohawk, Wear-Dated and Karastan retail salesperson incentive programs remain distinct and separate programs, and are independently managed. However, the combination of points at redemption offers retailers a powerful motivator to encourage their retail salespeople to promote the value of higher-margin branded carpet to the consumer.
