Wear-Dated Showcases New Innovations Display at Surfaces 2007
Collection Includes 19 New Wear-Dated Products From Mohawk
KENNESAW, Ga.--Feb. 1, 2007--The new Innovations display has already attracted the attention of retailers both large and small, with over 2,500 racks placed in stores since it was introduced last summer. Innovations is a product of the alliance formed between Mohawk®, Wear-Dated® and Scotchgard®, and features 19 new products in the Horizon by Mohawk line, including 12 new Frieze and Cable/Shags made with 100% Wear-Dated DuraSoft BCF nylon carpet fiber.
Retailers appreciate the versatility of the collection, which features three of the most recognizable brands in the industry. “The Innovations display allows any size dealer to immediately have a complete and broad Wear-Dated product offering in their store without taking up a lot of showroom space,” said David Goldschmidt, director of sales, Wear-Dated carpet fiber. “There is a broad selection of constructions, styles, colors and price points, all in one easy-to-sell-from display system.”
The display educates the flooring consumer on the innovative technology that has gone into these Mohawk products, including Wear-Dated’s nylon fiber and the ScotchgardÔ Protector Advanced Repel Technology. “The Innovations Display is a great starting point for dealers who want to partner with Wear-Dated,” said Goldschmidt. “It’s easy to add other Wear-Dated samples and merchandising around the display, to create a focal point in the showroom.”
Some of the most popular styles in the collection include:
- Stylin—70 ounce Shag with Wear-Dated DuraSoft BCF nylon carpet fiber
- Granita—60 ounce Frieze with Wear-Dated DuraSoft BCF nylon carpet fiber
- Hidden Sea/Lost Sea— 42 ounce/65 ounce Better/Best Texture with an extra fine finish and an expanded 60-color line to choose from.
Each style in the Innovations collection has a 10-year wear, 10-year stain resistance, 10-year soil resistance, 5-year texture retention, 10-year manufacturing defect, and lifetime anti-static warranty.
