Wear-Dated®'s "Flooring The Consumer" Speaks with Authority

Blog explores retail store experiences, engages flooring industry

KENNESAW, Ga.--Jan. 23, 2007--Established six months ago, “Flooring The Consumer” – Wear-Dated®’s forum for addressing marketing to women and the consumer retail experience – has wasted no time in establishing itself as a valuable resource for flooring retailers.

Hosted by Christine Whittemore, Wear-Dated's director of in-store innovation, “Flooring The Consumer” (http://flooringtheconsumer.blogspot.com) consists of a weblog (or blog) that explores the retail experience, identifies best practices, features what matters to the highly sought-after woman consumer, and generally engages the industry in discussion to elevate the flooring purchasing experience.

Since its creation, “Flooring The Consumer” has established a strong reputation within the blogosphere and earned Technorati’s prestigious “high authority” status. Technorati, a blog tracking and search engine, tracks over 55 million blogs and ranks them based on the amount of traffic to the blog and the number of “links” from other blogs. Blogs with between 100-499 links are considered “high authority” blogs. “Flooring The Consumer” has generated over 360 links from 173 blogs in that time. “Obtaining these links is an honor” explains Whittemore. “It means that Flooring The Consumer speaks authentically and credibly about marketing and the consumer experience. Both the tone and the message sufficiently resonate with other blog authors that they link via related posts.”

“Wear-Dated is passionate about improving the flooring retail experience for women consumers,” says Whittemore, “and we invite all those who feel similarly to join the conversation.” To participate, simply visit http://flooringtheconsumer.blogspot.com and enter your email in the space provided in the right hand sidebar. The blog updates will be e-mailed to your inbox when they are posted. For those who prefer RSS (Real Simple Syndication) news aggregators, subscription is available.
