Ramona Swain joined the Wear-Dated marketing organization in 1998.  Since then, she has assumed various departmental roles including: 

  • Wear-Dated Co-op Advertising Coordinator and Customer Service Representative, aiding in the coordination of the Wear-Dated Rewards incentive program inclusive of over 3,000 participants.
  • Wear-Dated Marketing Coordinator for Acrilan,  promoting the sales growth of Acrilan acrylic fiber in the upholstery market through the coordination of the Wear-Dated Set Sales incentive program.

Before joining Solutia, Ramona attended Georgia State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1997.  While pursuing her degree, Ramona worked as a Scriptwriter for ABC World News, Atlanta bureau. 

Today, Ramona is committed to managing the Wear-Dated web site in a manner that will help facilitate increased knowledge and awareness of Wear-Dated carpet fiber products.

Ramona is also an official Woman of Wear-Dated for The Carpetology Blog

The key to choosing the right carpet is knowing how to decipher the information on label. Although labels vary by manufacturer, below are some helpful terms and definitions that typically appear.
